Account and data deletion

Delete your Ganav HR or Ganav Desk account and data

This page is for the Ganav HR and Ganav Desk apps by BLS Software Pvt Ltd.

How accounts work

You do not create an account in the apps. Your employer (Ganav HR) or your accounting firm (Ganav Desk) creates your login in TaskLive, the system it uses for HR, payroll and accounting, and it is responsible for your records (the data controller). So your account is closed by your organisation - we help if you cannot reach it.

Remove the app's data from your phone - you can do this yourself, now

  1. In the app, open Settings and tap Sign out everywhere (or Sign out of this workspace).
  2. Open Workspaces and tap Remove for each workspace.
  3. Uninstall the app.

This deletes everything the app keeps on your phone: your sign-in keys, workspace settings and the notification token. Payslips and documents are never stored on the phone.

To sign out a phone you no longer have, sign in on the web, open Phones (staff: My profile > Phones) and remove it.

Ask for your account and data to be deleted

  1. Contact your organisation - your HR team (employees) or your firm’s administrator (staff) - and ask them to close your login and delete your data. They can deactivate your access straight away.
  2. Can’t reach them, or no answer? E-mail info@blssoft.in with the subject “Delete my Ganav account”, the app you use, your name, your organisation and the e-mail or username on the account. Do not send passwords or ID numbers. We confirm the request with you and pass it to your organisation within 5 working days; where we host your organisation’s server we follow up until it is done.

What is deleted and what is kept

Data What happens
Your app login, registered phones and notification tokens Deleted or switched off when your account is closed. Notification tokens held by the TaskLive Portal are removed as soon as the phone signs out.
Sign-in keys and settings on your phone Deleted when you sign out or uninstall (see above).
Photos, documents and requests you sent Kept or deleted by your organisation under its policies.
Payslips, salary, tax, attendance and employment records Usually kept by your organisation for the period Indian law requires (for example up to 8 years under income-tax, labour and company laws), then deleted. Your organisation can tell you how long.
